In her final start at Tracy Sellers Field, Texas Tech ace NiJaree Canady saw perfection on Saturday, tossing the first perfect game of her career on senior day.

What a moment for NiJaree Canady 👏💪
It was a storybook finish for the veteran ace as the Red Raiders honored their senior class prior to their contest against Baylor. She settled in quickly, striking out the side in the top of the first inning to give her offense momentum, before Jasmyn Burns knocked a grand slam in the bottom of the frame, giving Texas Tech the lead, which it held for the rest of the afternoon.

Canady struck out nine batters on 62 pitches with no walks from the circle to leave the Bears hitless through five innings, propelling Texas Tech to the 8-0 run rule and improving her record to 21-4 on the year.
Canady's first perfect game of her decorated career marked the sixth in program history as the Red Raiders became the first team in the country to reach 50 wins this season.

The senior day win signaled the end of the regular season for Texas Tech. The Red Raiders will be the No. 1 seed in the Big 12 tournament starting May 7 in Oklahoma City.
